When I think back to sex ed in highschool I remember a few things. One was, an old nurse showing us how to put a condom on 'Woody' - her wooden penis shaped friend - and two that no sex was ever safe. I'm not sure which led to more uncomfortable shuffling from my fellow classmates the wooden phallus or the scary stories about STIs. The nurse wasn't all bad though, she offered some helpful messages that many STIs were curable with some antibiotics.
Well the times they are a changing. According to some Health Care Professionals in the UK, one of those curable STIs is becoming much tougher to treat. Some strains of Gonorrhea has begun to show signs of resistance to the most common methods of treatment. Here's the full story courtesy of Pink News.
Need a quick reminder about STIs and how they're prevented or treated? HIM has plenty of info for you here!
