It gets better when we make it better. At HIM, we have a pretty simple idea: gay men with high self-esteem tend to live healthier lives and have access to better health choices. We're interested in improving social health factors that impact gay men, including the big-picture stuff like homophobia and heterosexism. We also have listings for our Professional Volunteers who specialize in social health.

HIM promoted a poster campaign during the Olympics. The campaign showed visitors the diverse and accepting side of Vancouver, while promoting public displays of gay affection. The posters included images of gay couples expressing affection on various street corners in Vancouver.
It was HIM's goal to put a gay couple on every street corner downtown (or at least a poster of one). Other gay guys could submit their public displays of affection on our website.
You can download printable pdfs of the posters below: Print them out and put them up!
