Public displays of gay

HIM promoted a poster campaign during the Olympics. The campaign showed visitors the diverse and accepting side of Vancouver, while promoting public displays of gay affection. The posters included images of gay couples expressing affection on various street corners in Vancouver.

Gay men continue to be one of the populations most affected by HIV in Canada and in 2008 gay men represented 62% of all new HIV diagnoses in Vancouver. Despite a high HIV testing rate among gay men in BC, there continues to be a need to focus on promoting HIV testing and reducing barriers in accessing service.

Just got an HIV test last Thursday.  It had been over 10 years since my last test- truthfully I can't even remember when it was.  Like many gay men I measured my sense of sexual self-worth by the amount of sex I got.
