Community Forum: The Long-Acting Treatment Era Begins.

Did you know that BC is the only province with no public reimbursement for long-acting injectable HIV treatment?

Join AIDS Vancouver and our community partners at Health Initiative for Men, Afro-Canadian Positive Network, McLaren Housing, and YouthCO for a Community Forum on Long Acting HIV Treatment on May 16. Karmella Barr will host a panel discussion starting at 6pm featuring people living with HIV sharing why access to long acting HIV treatment matters to them, and Dr. Liz King to answer questions about the treatment itself.

This event is taking place on the land of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples at The PumpJack Pub (1167 Davie St.). Join us for food, discussion, and opportunities to add your voice to our petition for meaningful access to long acting HIV treatment in BC.

All are welcome to the conversation about long acting HIV treatment. RSVPs are not required. If you have any questions about the event, you can call us at 604-893-2201 or email contact@aidsvancouver.org!

Please do not attend if you have a cold, flu, or COVID. Our on-site COVID precautions include making hand sanitizer available, along with masks. Masks are encouraged when folks are not eating or drinking.

This group is open to self-identified men (trans, cis, and other men), two-spirit and non-binary folks who also identify as gay, bi, queer, asexual, and/or as guys who are into/or have sex with guys (for any reason – including for work).
