HIM Emotion Regulation Group

Emotion Regulation is the ability to change our emotional experiences, so we can have more agency and choice in our behaviours. Learn skills that can be used in your daily life to cope with anxiety, depression, and other emotional experiences.

This skills training group is specifically designed for queer men. This is a free, 8-week DBT-based skills group facilitated by queer counsellors, and is open for 2-Spirit, non-binary, trans, queer men, and other men who are into men. No mental health diagnosis is required to participate. Space is limited, participants can join until the 3rd session, with a maximum of 12 participants.

 

Start Feb. 25th – End Apr. 14th. (once a week, Tuesdays), 6-8 pm @ the HIM on Davie

This is a skills training group, not to be confused with a treatment group, we do not offer dialectical treatments. These groups can be complementary to folks taking individual therapy.

 

This group is open to self-identified men (trans, cis, and other men), two-spirit and non-binary folks who also identify as gay, bi, queer, asexual, and/or as guys who are into/or have sex with guys (for any reason – including for work).
