Sweat and Stretch – Online
Finding yourself needing that extra change up in your routine? Looking to stay active and connected to your yoga practice along with getting a workout in? Come join our HIM’s virtual Sweat and Stretch session bi-weekly on Tuesdays from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm. You can expect a 20-minute fusion workout followed by a 20-minute active-stretch, yoga class! This class combines Yoga practices and body weight training to get the blood pumping, the sweat pouring, followed by a good long stretch and yoga moves to cool off and relax.
This class is inclusive to all and will have level modifications to ensure all exercises are accessible for you. These sessions are apartment-friendly from those of you with downstairs neighbours and all you’ll need is a yoga mat, safe-open area, water bottle, and your choice of athletic or athleisure wear!
This is an online event via Zoom App. To register, please follow the link below:
• The active programming would be a 50/50 “sweat and stretch” session inclusive to all participant levels and accessibility needs.
• The first 20 minutes offering fusion exercises based in yogic practice and foundations. This workout portion is a blend of cardio, body-weight, and apartment-friendly exercises to get movement in we may not during the increased amount of time we’re spending indoors with the current environment. These fusion exercises are synced, counted and, guided live to the beat of clean music.
• The second 20 minute half of the session is dedicated to yoga. This practice would focus on stretching and relieving tension and work from the first 20-minute session. It’d be akin to a beginner vinyasa style with greater emphasis on stretch.
This group is open to self-identified men (trans, cis, and other men), two-spirit and non-binary folks who also identify as gay, bi, queer, asexual, and/or as guys who are into/or have sex with guys (for any reason – including for work).
