A spontaneous social circle for men to meet face-to-face and make new friends without “screens”!

“FAST FRIENDS” is a social group activity that aims to fight social isolation in the community through sparking firm human connections and friendships. This periodic activity will help you break the “I.C.E” – Introductions. Conversations. Evolutions – and engage in fun interactive discussions in an inclusive and comfortable environment.

So, come join the circles of FAST FRIENDS!

The next FAST FRIENDS activity will be confirmed soon. Keep an eye on our calendar of events to find out more.

Free, or by donation.

This is a guided activity and a facilitator will help you navigate the experience. You will have the opportunity to participate in different engaging rounds where you’ll get to meet and create meaningful connections with different people. You will also be provided with some personal space to reflect and take time for yourself in between activity rounds.

The group activities are designed and facilitated by Ken Godmere

There is no registration required to participate in the group activities. The activities are open to all self-identified men (trans, cis, and other men), two-spirit and non-binary folks who also identify as gay, bi, queer, asexual, and/or as guys who are into/or have sex with guys (for any reason – including for work).

Come with an open and positive mind and a curiosity to meet and get to know new people. Be ready to participate in a dynamic activity which involves partaking in different engaging rounds. Be willing and ready to talk about yourself and the things you enjoy in life.

As an acclaimed actor/director, instructor/coach, speaker/host and communications consultant, Ken Godmere’s diverse career has found him connecting with companies from The Second City to the National Arts Centre; from Bell to Microsoft; from Canadian Mental Health Association to United Way; and countless schools, institutions and organizations across Canada and the US. Now working in Vancouver’s busy tv/film industry, Ken is combining some of his personal and professional passions to develop, host and connect FAST FRIENDS with H.I.M. — and with his community.

FAST FRIENDS is an initiative provided under HIM’s Community Organizers Program. Through this program, leaders in the GBT2Q community (such as Ken) have the ability to access HIM’s “Host, Support and Promote” model to bring their community impact ideas to life and deliver them in the Vancouver Coastal and Fraser Health regions. You too can become a Community Organizer with HIM – find out more at:
