Grey & Golden

Grey and Golden is a facilitated safe space for GBQT2S and 35+ men who have sex with men to talk, listen, and share their experiences of conscious aging with other gay men. Discussion topics will include aging, finances, coming “out”, grief, loneliness and other lifestyle issues.

The group will meet periodically on the third Thursday of the month starting in February 2020. You can find a calendar of upcoming Grey & Golden meetings here.

Group Facilitator

Sterling James is an openly gay, cis male who has been out for 40 + years.  He works in the community supporting persons with challenging needs to make connections in their communities and neighbourhoods to lead the lives they want to live and to contribute.  He have run Two very successful catering companies, as well as a successful culinary school in London, Ontario.


Grey & Golden is an initiative provided under HIM’s Community Organizers Program. Through this program, leaders in the GBT2Q community (such as Sterling) have the ability to access HIM’s “Host, Support and Promote” model to bring their community impact ideas to life and deliver them in the Vancouver Coastal and Fraser Health regions.
