If you are concerned about potential exposure to HIV in the last 24 hours, a nurse can help prescribe PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) - a month-long course of medication taken by an HIV-negative person after being exposed to the virus. The quicker we start PEP, the more effective it is.
PEP must be started within 72 hours after exposure to HIV, and the sooner the better, under 24 hours is ideal .

For Routine HIV/STI Testing
You can book a Just Testing appointment to see a VCH phlebotomist to get your routine STI/HIV testing.
Please note that the Phlebotomist will not be able to answer any medical questions or offer you assistance with any health needs aside from the routine test itself. If this is your first time testing with us, we recommend you select Testing and More.
If you have other health needs (rapid HIV test, have symptoms, vaccines, etc.), you must instead do a walk-in or book a Testing and More appointment or do a walk-in during health centre hours to see a nurse.
