HUSTLE

HUSTLE is an outreach, education, and advocacy program for male, non-binary, and Two-Spirit people working in sex industry on the Coast Salish lands of the ʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, and on the W̱SÁNEĆ territories of the Tsawout, Pauquachin, Tsartlip, Tseycum, Malahat, and the T’Souke people.

Who We Are

HUSTLE was founded in 2007 and since then, we have continued to represent the male voice in sex work at various tables, committees and research partnerships. In 2009, HUSTLE joined Health Initiative for Men and has continued to expand and uphold our mission and vision.

In 2020, HUSTLE began partnering with Peers to expand services to the Greater Victoria Area including Sidney, Saanich, Westshore and Sooke communities. Peers is a peer-led sex work organization dedicated to male and non-binary sex workers to receive support, access to harm reduction supplies, and a comfortable place free from shame and stigma.

HUSTLE believes in our community’s right to access harm reduction and non-judgemental physical, sexual, and mental health care. And we support the decriminalization of all penalities associated with sex work.

What We Do

  • Workshops for service providers and community members to destigmatize male sex work, ie. Diminishing the Stigma of male sex work
  • Collect and distribute Bad Date reports for male sex workers through Peers
  • We enable access to drop-in spaces in Vancouver via The Corner and Victoria via PEERS
