HIM is a nonprofit society that aims to strengthen the health and well-being in communities of self-identified GBQ men and gender diverse people in BC.
Nurturing Social Connectedness Through Art
Marginalization and social isolation are significant social determinants of health that can increase the risk of HIV exposure. At HIM, we recognize that a comprehensive approach to health and well-being—encompassing social, physical, mental, and sexual health—is crucial for effective HIV prevention. Art has long been a unifying force that brings people and communities together. By integrating art into our social programming, HIM fosters social connectedness and strengthens community bonds through a shared appreciation of artistic expression.
