
Sexual Health and HIV Prevention Services at HIM
HIM health centres in the Lower Mainland as well as our outreach nurses and anonymous testing events in the BC Interior provide GBQ men and gender diverse people with HIV/STI prevention and treatment services:
STI/HIV Testing
HIM offers full-spectrum sexual health testing: Rapid and Standard HIV as well as STI testing. We offer standard testing for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, Hepatitis A, B and C. Click here to find out more about testing at HIM.
PEP – Post-Exposure Profylaxis
PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) is an option to prevent HIV after you may have come into contact with HIV during sex. Nurses at HIM Health Centres could provide you access to PEP if you’re concerned about exposure to HIV in the last 72 hours. Click here to learn more about PEP, and where to get it.
PrEP – Pre-Exposure Profylaxis
PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) is an HIV prevention strategy we can use if we are HIV-negative. Doctors and nurses at HIM can help you access to PrEP. Click here to learn more about PrEP and how to access it.
STI Treatment

Vaccinations
