Do you believe in HIM’s mission and would like to help raise funds on our behalf? Third-party fundraisers are a great way to not only support HIM’s work financially, but to also raise awareness about what we do and engage others by using your fundraising skills and social reach and influence!

It could be a golf tournament, pub night, art sale, bake sale, or anything-a-thon. But please note that we enter into fundraising carefully, and we kindly ask that you read and follow our Third-Party Event Guidelines before submit your event application form and start planning your event.

Online CanadaHelps Fundraisers

You’d like to create a fundraising page on CanadaHelps and invite your friends to donate through it? That’s a great way create a community of support and how much you can raise money together towards HIM’s mission. We are including some guidelines and resources to help you set that up!

    Health Initiative for Men (HIM) is a registered non-profit that aims to strengthen the health and well-being of gay, bi, and queer (GBQ) men and gender diverse people across BC. They offer the full spectrum of health-based programming and services for GBQ men and gender diverse people’s mental, physical and social health needs.

    HIM is a nonprofit society that aims to strengthen the health and well-being in communities of self-identified GBQ men and gender diverse people in BC. They offer a full spectrum of health-based programming and services to meet the sexual, mental, physical and social health needs of communities of self-identified GBQ men and gender diverse people in BC. Their health centres in the Lower Mainland as well as their anonymous testing events in the BC Interior provide members of GBQ and gender diverse communities with HIV/STI prevention and treatment services. Additionally, Their mental health programs provide GBQ and gender diverse communities with access to counselling and support through peer counsellors who work with clients on matters relevant to their mental health such as loneliness, anxiety, coming out, racism, self-esteem/body image, aging, sex, substance use-related issues, and more.  Physical and social health programs at HIM provide GBQ and gender diverse communities with opportunities to take a more holistic approach to health in an engaging setting that cultivates a sense of connection and builds community.
