Naloxone Training: Be Prepared with HIM
In response to the growing overdose crisis in the Lower Mainland, HIM is providing naloxone training. Naloxone is a medication that quickly reverses the effects of an overdose from opioids such as heroin, methadone, fentanyl, and morphine. It is currently available in B.C. without prescription, and often given as an injection into a muscle. The Take Home Naloxone (THN) program provides life-saving training and kits to people at risk of an opioid overdose, their friends and family, and community members.…
